Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I have just Synthetically Ascended my empire, giving me a new primary robotic species (the Mecharn). By default, they were set to "full citizenship" citizenship and "Transubstantiation Synthesis" living standards. Attempting to change their Living Standards to either Academic Privilege or Social Welfare (decent conditions untested) resulted in the Living Standard not changing and the options greying out locking me from changing it "again" for 10 years.
However, if I first hit the "Reset to Default" button on the species rights screen (which shouldn't affect my primary species at all IIRC) and *then* try to change the living standards of the Mecharn from Transubstantiation Synthesis to either Social Welfare or Academic Privilege it works fine. I should note (given my poor experience with similar species rights bugs as a psionically ascended species) that I had made sure my "default" rights were citizenship and academic privilege, as making the default assimilation under psionic seems to sometimes put assimilated species under the assimilating living standard for psionics (I forget its name). I do not know if having my default living standard be Transubstantiation Synthesis (the same as the bugged standard) would have stopped resetting from fixing things.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Load the attached save. Try to change the Mecharn's living standard, see the bug. Kill the program (because testing for bugs in Ironman sucks). Load the save again. Press the "reset to default" button on the species rights window. Try to change the Mecharn's living standard, see that it works.
