Captain Gars is, but he (like most of Paradox) is on vacation, and when he comes back he'll again be alternating between here and the EUIV mod forum. The rest of the CK2 mods aren't likely to post here, because it's not their jobs to support mods.

I would like more support for modding sound effects, like a soundfx.txt in the sounds folder similar to songs.txt in the music folder that lets you add as many new sound effects as you want. I would also like a way to define the main title in the music folder without having to name it "crusaderkings2_maintitle."

the former is already possible i'd say.
the sound file is in interface folder and you can then assign your sounds to interface buttons.

I couldn't find it on the main list and not sure if already mention, but would it be possible to separate the religions and cultures into separate files like in EU4? For example, be able to split up the Christian religion into file1.txt, file2.txt, et cetera.

No, religious and cultural groups need to stay one the same file. You can't have Sunni on one file and Shi'ite on the other.

Hence why its a request for improved moddability.

What would it improve though, there would literally be no difference in how we use the files.
And checking EU4 they have all religions in one file in the religions folder and all cultrues in one file in a culture folder the exact same way vanilla ck2 does.

You can split up the religions and cultures files, that's why we have common/cultures/ and common/religions/. Just because hardly any mod splits them doesn't mean you can't.

Splitting up religions could be tricky though, as you have to make sure that parent religions are defined before heresies, and reformed religions before the religions that reform into them.

I would enable better compatibility for other mods, as it doesn't have to overwrite the original religions.txt.

Oh really? I must've done it wrong then, cause the game crashed when I tried (mind you I did copy paste everything, thus resulted in some conflicts).

I've learnt this the hard way, when I implemented a new religion into my first mod.

You can split up religions and cultures. That doesn't mean you can have duplicate definitions in different files, which might be why you had that crash.

Lux Invicta has one special (unused, unless you ruler design it in) religion in a separate file.

OOOOOOHHHHH that is what you meant. Yeah you can do that already! Look at AGOT, we have all the culture groups split up into individual files for ease.

Not split up different culture groups (or religious groups), but rather split up individual religions and cultures within the same group.

You mean like having one branch of Christianity in a separate file from the rest? You can definitely do that right now no problem. Just make sure there are no duplicates and that your new religion file has a later alphabetical name then the base religion file. I do this with my Better Gender Mod's new heresies.

You can already separate your files into groups what more is really needed? Separating them any further is kinda pointless.

Not really, since my mods introduces new religions and heresies for existing religions so I need a way to separate them or else it will conflict with other mods.

That's good to know, though the wiki is quite misleading since this is the case.

I think that option to set dynasty group could be useful. All would remain just like in same dynasty like dynasty bonuses and dynastic alliance but name and coa would be different
