Do you have Space Race installed?
Yes

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Installed new below DLC:
--- start new game
--- click on rocket to land it - lights/indication don't appear under mouse
--- click on surface to land does nothing & can't progress


Game doesn't crash, can click some menu items - such as build menu, research & start research, radio & change station.

Can't open pause menu. Have to alt+f4 to quit.

Tried tutorial mission - same thing.

Loaded old save game, could land rockets. Tried resetting app & total reinstall - did nothing, same issue.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes every time.

I have the same issue! Also, I think this only happens with people on the Microsoft Store version.

Same problem here. No way to get started.
Also with the MS Store version after downloading the update and the DLC.

Interestingly. I can open all menus (Pause Menu via Esc, as well as resupply and planetary menus) when the game loads - until I attempt to click on the flashing rocket icon. Once I do that, most of the menus become inaccessible.

I tried immediately pausing and saving, then loading the save game. Still cannot land the rocket, and trying to do so locks out the menus.

I've tried reinstalling and switching up versions of the game between First Colonist Edition and vanilla Surviving Mars. No luck here, and this just started today.

Exact same issue here. Also, when loading a previously saved game there are odd power issues with certain buildings and when attempting to access a passenger rocket, the screen comes up blank (no passenger selection and no back button) and then can't exit. Arrgh!

I have other reports of this and have duplicated it myself, so I've lodged a critical bug report on it now.

Our apologies for this terrible problem! I'm sure they'll get a patch out for it as soon as possible.

Having the same issues and just full of frustration now. Tried the version on steam (i have the windows store) and same issue there.

Are you sure it is 100% the same issue? Because aside from you we have no other reports of this on any edition except the MS store one. I see this problem on my MS Store edition, but not on Epic or Steam on the same machine.

interesting note about this bug: if you do a clean install of Surviving Mars WITHOUT green planet, the game works just fine. With Green planet installed the game breaks. So something in the interaction between the new update and Green planet is what is causing the problem. I am using the MS store version by the way.

I noticed that too when I did fresh reinstall, and forgot to reinstall green planet

Can confirm - uninstalled, turned off auto update in Xbox App. Installed Surviving Mars with no other DLCS - Then just installed the Below and Beyond DLC and shuttle can now land.

Hopefully this is fixed soon, crazy how such an easily repeatable problem wasn't spotted before release.

Apologies, seems a interesting quirk with the xbox app is when you uninstall a game it does not remove the desktop Icon. so i thought i ran the steam version when in fact it was Xbox version. Again apologies.
