I am running MacOS 13.3 and since the update the game refuses to launch...
I have an M1 chip with 16GB of RAM.

I am having the same problem with the same Mac system. Did not work after ventura, and was told 13.3 fixed it.

this was a problem causing by an earlier MacOS version, which is known to be fixed in 13.3 . So it is surprising and disappointing to see these reports of the opposite!

Are you saying the game used to work for you under 13.2.x ? Or did you update from some much earlier version?

I had been following along. It did not work for me on 13.1 or 13.2. I read it was fixed in 13.3 and it still does not work after updating. The pop-up is below:

I haven’t played since September 2022 (macOS Monterey). Having seen the problems with MacOS Ventura, i waited for update 13.3 to be able to relaunch it. Unfortunately, without success.

And, I see 13.3.1 is now out - any help in that?

Just updated to 13.3.1 and tried the terminal code suggested and would get the attached error after booting about 300 times.

I just did update 13.3.1 and the game still refuses to launch with Steam.
With the help of the terminal, the game does not launch every time.
A pop-up with an error message appears

That is a shame. I guess we'll have to go back to Apple again and hope they can pin down why 13.3 helped some users and not others.

Not that I'm aware of, aside from the workaround I linked above.
