Description
Weird Visual Bug on Empty Waste Rock Piles and Unused Dome Spaces

Mac

Steam

What is your game version?
1011166

What DLC do you have installed?
Space Race, Green Planet, Below and Beyond, Colony Design Set, Project Laika, In-Dome Buildings Pack

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When there is unused space in a dome or on unused spaces in a waste rock pile, there's a weird visual bug happening. It kind of looks like the ground is reflecting a zoomed in view of the bare martian soil. When you scroll the screen, those tiles also seem to be scrolling a zoomed in view of bare red martian soil. This only started happening when I got my new laptop and installed the game on here. The new laptop is a MacBook Air with an M3 chip running macOS Sonoma 14.5. This isn't an issue that's causing any issues playing the game. It's just a visual thing, but still a bug of some kind.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes. Anytime I start a new game and finish building a dome or place a waste rock pile. The parts of those things that don't have anything on it (ex the parts of the dome that don't have buildings or the parts of the waste rock pile that don't have any waste rock on it yet), the visual bug will show up.

As you may have seen in other threads here, this game is strictly speaking not supported on Apple Silicon Mx hardware - the published hardware requirements are:
4th Generation Intel i3 CPU
GeForce 600/AMD Radeon 5000 or higher
Which means the game is reliant on Apple's Rosetta emulation for graphics. All you can really do is keep MacOS up to date, hoping that it will be able to render those textures better in future.

Sorry to not be able to help much on this one!
