when the game is focused on an asteroid, meteor defenses don't work

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I had the game focus on an asteroid resource run. During that period, an orbital bombardment during "the last war" mystery triggered. I had built MDS defenses all over my base, but my base was severely damaged before I was able to return. there were many domes punctured, drone hubs destroyed, live support and electricity leaks all over the place, etc. when I reloaded from a save and played through the bombardment again, my defenses functioned as expected with only minor damage to my base
my suspicion is that the MDS logic isn't running with focus away from the mars surface map, but impacts can still happen. this means the player must maintain focus on the mars surface map even with more than adequate defenses
