I'm playing an IGC 2.3 game as Sweden and I wonder why Sweden has a CB shield there, the province never was Swedish so that doesn't make sense really... :D Moreover, I think a CB shield should be added in Jämtland...

I think it is to promote a more historically accurate progress of Swedens expanding of territories. Sweden wanted to control the trade in "Östersjön", and the AI will with the shield set in Kurland try to conquer the province and its CoT.
IRL Sweden did try and succeded in conquering the important city of Riga.

Riga was in Swedish hands from about middle of 17th century until Northern War- iirc Russians took it 1709. But Kurland itself was owned by Poland. Only the province borders in EU don't represent real situation so much. Livonia should be a bit extended and Kurland should be a bit smaller and bit further south.

I knew it, I have always felt that Courland should be smaller. Always thought it was too damn big.:)

Now it should be Livonia that's too damn big :) Ok, i know, it's unimportant really. Few millimetres here or there in EU map...
