I have been trying a few games with my friend

we both have good computers (I believe...)

1 gig of ram
2.5 and 2.8 ghz processor

Anyway you see the kind

We both have cable connection

BUT! When we start a game... it only takes a few days that we completly lose synchronisation and a whole lot of problems appear

First, the client (the guy that isnt hosting) gives orders that are answered only a week later sometimes! we don't have the same date (i have been as far as to 2 weeks in front of him!) It is impossible for him to react as he is always getting late or wrong info on the situation

We have this problem in our every games, even in 1936 where there is the least units

Any way to resolve this synchronisation problem?

My friend and I got the same problem, the only thing we found out was that pausing will resync everything when the lagging player reaches the time at which u paused..

its a real pain tho if someone knows how to fix that please share ;/

Don't see it as a huge problem?... you're serious?? :(

well its been going on since EU... maybe with the new engine it will be fixed. I dont really know why as other games that seem to need to transfter as much or more date dont lag so badly for me.... but dont expect doomsday to be anything different.

Are either of you using a router? I think there is something to do with NAT protocols that makes connections lose sync...

I am not sure but for a test try connectng without the routers and see how you go, I'd bet you it will work fine. :)

Nothing you can do....if one was using a router it would be ok. When there is 3 they conflict. Only suggestion i can make is you bypass one of the routers if possible. I have seperate modem and router so when i host I by pass the router which means my other PCs no longer have internet access but i can host without drops.

routers will add extra issues. If u use a wireless router connection like i do u may find that u are losing signal every now and then which will cause u to lag out. If u do have a wirelss router then try to change the channel, restart and repair ur connetion that usually sorts the problem for the rest of the session and only takes a min or two.
