Takes a long time to save games...

Its not consistant but happens more often than not. Autosaving or manual saves take forever to actually save. Sometimes its instant, other times its upwards of 30+ seconds....

Any ideas why this might be happening?

No idea, sorry, this is the first report of this I've seen. Does it happen with other games? Could you be short of disk space or memory?

AFAIK my system is in good working order, plenty of disc space and memory.

To be clear, it does not happen all the time, a newly started game will save very quickly, it appears the long the game goes on the longer it takes (by a large margin) to save. Its come to the point where I will hit save and get up to grab a drink or use the facilities.. ;-)

Are the later saved much larger than the earlier ones? And can we see a dxdiag.txt please.
