I tried to make a change to this file (text1.csv) but forgot to save a copy of it first. The game now crashes every time the mouse moves over a character portrait. I got the game via steam. How do I go about getting a copy of the file?

Press right mouse button over the game in Steam and chose properties. Chose local files and press "verify integrity of game cache" button. Steam will check the files and download again those that don't pass. This should make Steam download that file again.
