What the fuck is wrong with you? Games should make fun and be competetive.

If my enemy is spaming arty nearly every fuck game it´s no fun and not competetive because he is shooting my units to pieces without any possibility to counter. And even if I bring counter it´s nearly useless, 3 SK18 that are not able to even pin the enemy arty while he hits nearly everytime? WTF??

I loved the game but I can´t take this shit no more, I will play anything else, even tetris is more fun than this skillless spam crap.

The announcment that you bring even more arty in this game with the dlc is laughable, "Use the new aerial artillery observer to spot your enemy and unleash hell on his units.". Wtf? If already now 6-9 artys spaming my units to death it´s not enough??

One guys I´m playing with said I should tell you that you will loose a lot more players if you make this garbage even worse with the dlc.

Fuck off, I´m out, another game that´s completly broken in terms of balance and game mechanics. Bring out an DLC where you can play games only without arty and I would pay 100 Euro for it.

Edit: I reinstall, we came up with the idea to play only axis vs axis and hope that there are not so many retarded arty apes.

thanks for the hint. I will give it a try. On the other hand it´s sad to get reduced to only armor divisions to not get artyed to death, because so some maps get nearly impossible to play. It´s a bad choice of game design and should be changed instead of getting even worste imo.

sorry, don´t understand exactly what you want to tell me with that. Smoke to cover my units from arty? Or smoke to cover the advance with a armored division? 1 shooting?
 
Where is your enemy getting all those artillery pieces + supplies from without loosing ground?
Don't clump up your units, be less static, push your advantage when you see heavy investment into "indirect" units.

On a side note, how does playing Axis vs Axis solve anything? Axis has all the bonkers artillery pieces in this game...

It's a meme, it has nothing to do with your situation.
 
Art spam could be countered by more arts, bombers or strong push in front. If none of these work or at least make it even, it is just this player/team is out-skilled by the opponents.

No, sometimes you could not do shit but is very situationnal. With 17thSS against canadians sextons in phase B, good luck to do shit with no 2400m arty, poor plane availability and nothing but stugs in the armor tab. Especially in 3vs3 4vs4 where every place is more crowded.

To expand on IS-2's point, the reason why artillery is effective is because it has relatively high area of effect, which means that playing airborne or infantry divisions, you just cant move your units out of the artillery strike.
This leads to infantry in a best case scenario: hop from one building to another, or worst case scenario: your infantry is in a field and gets killed/panicked. As an infantry division, you need to spread out your units to mitigate your losses, and if possible, either counter battery or air raids. Armoured decks don't have this problem as much as your fighting force consists of tanks, which are very resilient to artillery.

IS-2's second point is to learn to attack. What I find in newer players, is that they generally prefer to play defensively, and aren't as assertive as higher skilled players. This defensive play-style is exactly what is countered by artillery, and adds to the perception that it is overpowered.

If there is one thing I would recommend a new player to learn is to watch replays and pay close attention to how many units are fielded. This will help develop your game-sense, and aids your decision making process when attacking.

I almost never play 17, but id focus on playing very aggressive with the STuG. I can't say what else I would do without looking in the deck. IIRC it favours defensive play-style too much for my taste.

Play 1v1 or 2v2 and see if you like it more. 3v3 on 2v2 maps seem to be to small and lead to artillery spam.
 
Basically there are 2 causes for arty spam;
1. Playing with too many players on 2 small a map
2. User error, ie not putting sufficient pressure on you opponent which allows them to waste points on artillery instead of frontline units

In both instances the solution is quite simple.
 
Division 352. Infantry, choosed to have the possibility to counter this crap. It´s on nearly every map the same.

Here is an example from today, best thing is that the player who started the arty spam and brought in tons of it complained about it in mid of the game, wtf? I got really mad.

Several mortars, Xylophones and tons of other stuff. It´s complete ridicioulus, I have such crap nearly every game now. I can post probably 100 videos where my enemy is bringing out arty, arty, arty, bombers and arty. The big problem if it´s working sometimes and even if it´s not it´s only crap gameplay.

One of us came up with the idea to make a tank push and put so much pressure on the enemy that they will not have the possibility to spam arty, worked not as expected.. Was my last game against allies until this is fixed, the other guys in my team saw now that it´s really pointless and agreed to stop playing against them. This is no fun at all. Wasn´t our best game but I if I´m less frustrated I can show you much examples where arty destroyed the whole game. Even when I pushed. Often the enemy is so stupid that he brings in even then arty, arty, arty, he loose the game but I loose my time because of this shit unenjoyable gameplay.
 
Have you ever thought about moving locations on the map for an attack? I mean, his artillery only has so much range and moves slowly so get away from it and coordinate an attack elsewhere. Force the nerd to split his force or push past his support units, defense in depth and hold fire will set the ambush. You have to learn how to flex a bit when the pressure comes.
 
Can't give you tactical advice, but just player advice. The game requires a pretty good understanding of how to play each deck. Don't give up and uninstall. Like others have said, learn and try different strategies. I'm still struggling against the AI, but I expected it, it's ok. I'm a very good chess player but I accept that fact that figuring out how to play a unit in SD takes a while. Take it as a challenge. You may still master it.
 
You're playing 352nd and complaining about allied artillery??? You are complaining about the 2nd ID deck, which has a lot of arty. Your opponents are spamming arty because 352nd is a sit and hold deck. Your post is as nonsensical as allies deciding to only play allies v allies because "what the fuck man, I can't max range a KT with a 76mm!?!? The shit? Uninstall"
 
You need spam more arty to play as 17ss. You get massive observer and rocket arty. Like 10 units for 17ss are not so many. After the arty fire, send in grobtrupps and pop smoke, and call in a barrage to cut off the reinforce line. Save your points for a 20mm rush is a good option if the enemy really do arty spam and lack of tanks.
