Am I the only one who is supremely annoyed by the fact that the Martells always end up being inherited by another house (usually it's the Baratheons) in one or two generations?

The AI can't handle female succession, they will never marry matrilineally.

Could there be a way to fix it? An event to check if the female heir to Dorne is bethroted or married normally or matrilineally? I beg you, find a way to fix and represent the Dorne succession in a bit less schizophrenical way, because right now it's highly immersion breaking.

This is so annoying.

Since the Baratheons were about to inherit Dorne for the 2389825th time, I just reloaded as Lord Martell and switched the succession law to Agnatic. Then I reloaded as my character, ready to continue my game.

Well, guess wat. They switched back to Cognatic after 3 days and now Valarr Baratheon will inherit

Sorry but they don't really work. They keep get inherited by other houses.

The disinheritance mechanic doesn't work because the daughter's (non-Martell) grandkids are still in line instead of her siblings. I keep seeing this in the Crowned Stag start, where Renly and Arianne always get married.

Upon death an event fixes that so it does not go to the grand child

I've also seen an event that nullifies a non-matrilineal marriage for the heirs of Dorne - in a recent Dayne game, my marriage to a Martell daughter was nullified after a few in-game days, and I got a pop-up from the Prince of Dorne explaining that his daughter was in-line to the title, so she couldn't have a regular marriage. Anyone else seen it?

I have been playing as a house in dorne lately, and for the past 150 years the Martells have been in charge. But that is ending since I pressed my wife's claim and won against her sister, so my heir will the queen! :D

It work in that way not only for Martell but basically all houses with cognatic law(sand and salt dornish)
But depends house position(count, duke or king tier).

what event do you speak of? because ive never seen it.

After ruler death game changed law to agnatic and immediately changed again to cognatic in one day
