I don't know what happens but after the Steam patched up to 1.04C.

I can't play the game after this patch.
Steam keep saying that the game is unavailable.

What do I do? How do I uninstall it to the working patch 1.04B only?

Thank you for your help.

If you installed the beta over your production version, you can't, Steam provide no way of rolling back to previous patches. My advice in the beta download thread was to copy 1.04 elsewhere and only apply the beta to that version; if you've done that then it will be unaffected by the 1.04c update.

But it sounds like your problem is more to do with Steam itself than the patch or the game. I and others here can play 1.04c just fine. Can you play other Steam games?

As of today, I could play yesterday, I'm getting this message when i click on "Start CKII" on the launcher. "Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. The system cannot find the file specified"

Clicking "Continue" doesn't do anything, it just goes back to the launcher. If I click "details" I get a long string of text that I don't really understand about JIT debugging and exception test. Should I paste it?

For some people, the main game executable ck2.exe has disappeared after patching, we have no idea why. In Steam right-click on the game and choose properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache.

If that doesn't help then yes, uninstall the game, manually delete any files left in the Steam and MyDocuments CK2 folders, then reinstall.
