The v1.01 is a great improvement over previous versions of the converter. Population is a good example.

When I used the old version of the converter, my empire contained just under 800 million souls. Far more than China and India combined, and almost too many POPs to properly assign.

When I switch off POP conversion, I ended up with 140 million population. This figure is derived from the stock 1836 population numbers from Victoria. It seemed a bit low considering the vast efforts I had applied since 1066 (thru CK and EU2).

Now, when I use the 1.01 converter, my empire is about 340 million in population. It seems more reasonable.

I am glad that I upgraded to the 1.01 converter before I got too far started in this Victoria game. It has taken me months of Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis II in order to get this far!

Thanks, great that you like it. Golden_Deliciou and I have really put in an effort into improving the number of POPs for version 1.01, and making it more fair and better reflecting actual population over the line. Giving different areas different multipliers and so on. But the population still depends heavily on what action a province has seen. A province that has been ravaged by war for a long time will most certainly get a lower population than a province that has been left alone for the entire game, even if they had the same starting POP in EU2.

Signing out for Christmas... Merry Christmas, God Jul, Feliz Navidad, Bon Noël, Frohe Weihnachten etc. to all in this forum.:)
