So, I understand that it should be a real fight and not have every duel here scripted in order for Ned Stark and Howland Reed live, but I think things here are clearly unbalanced.

This is from 10 playthroughs I did yesterday, only on the tenth one, did Ned Stark survive. And in one of these playthroughs, Mad King Aerys was deposed by Rhaegar and Rhaegar actually became king, so when I sieged King's Landing I ended up freeing Lyanna. So Lyanna was already back with Ned and STILL the Tower of Joy Event happened when the war was over.
Other than that, I don't know how else do this but I honestly believe that the 7 against 3 in the tower of joy was pairings of one side against the other until one got killed and was replaced by the next in line.

As far as I could see, Ned is the last one of the 7 to pick a fight, so that means that usually some of the Kingsguard might have been killed by his companions but usually ends as a TPK for him and his group.

It's imba as hell in the books, so why wouldn't it be imbalanced in the mod? Attacking three of the greatest living kingsguard should carry high risks.

And what about when Lyanna is already freed during the war? Why should this trigger tower of joy if she's free already?

I get that, it's just that's really annoying seeing Ned dying 9 out of 10 times. But what about my other issue? Lyanna is freed by Ned DURING the war and when the war ends the tower of joy event still triggers.

I was playing as Robert on that start date once and I captured rhaegar and aerys, ended the war, executed aerys after rhagear stood for him in trial by combat (killed him) and the tower event occurred soon after for ned. All three of the kingsguard prevailed killing everyone else. Lyanna fled to an eastern court with her bastard from rhaegar and I recruited the three greatest kingsguard back to serve and re-married lyanna after she came back to benjen stark. Overall I won out pretty damn well, minus neds unfortunate death.

That's what I'm talking about. I mean, if these three kingsguard are so willing to die for Rhaegar, why would they accept be recruited by Robert later?
I understand why such an event should exist and I don't want it to be rail roaded all the time, but perhaps something could be done about how the event triggers and tweak it a little bit?

Ironically, their is no negative modifiers for killing friends. If there were, perhaps they would have not joined the kingsguard again.
