So, I understand that it should be a real fight and not have every duel here scripted in order for Ned Stark and Howland Reed live, but I think things here are clearly unbalanced.
This is from 10 playthroughs I did yesterday, only on the tenth one, did Ned Stark survive. And in one of these playthroughs, Mad King Aerys was deposed by Rhaegar and Rhaegar actually became king, so when I sieged King's Landing I ended up freeing Lyanna. So Lyanna was already back with Ned and STILL the Tower of Joy Event happened when the war was over.
Other than that, I don't know how else do this but I honestly believe that the 7 against 3 in the tower of joy was pairings of one side against the other until one got killed and was replaced by the next in line.
As far as I could see, Ned is the last one of the 7 to pick a fight, so that means that usually some of the Kingsguard might have been killed by his companions but usually ends as a TPK for him and his group.
