Just that. I've been through this several times: a treasonous vassal is either imprisoned when a plot is discovered, or after they've revolted. In both cases, I've been able to revoke one title they have with the message that the public won't view me any the worse for doing so, since the vassal had it coming. However, if I immediately go to revoke a second title, I get the message about a penalty with my subjects because my vassal is perceived as having done nothing to deserve such treatment.

Seems a bit weird that you can only revoke 1 title. If a noble revolted (for whatever reason) and lost, they would quite frequently loose everything. They'd often be considered lucky to not become a foot shorter. As it stands now, if you choose to revoke a title, you basically gotta keep them in hail for a veeeery long time, or face another revolt.

Actually, while they may very well get executed for treason, they'd usually not lose any titles at all and those simply passed to their legitimate heirs. Dynasties jealously guarded their rights to their lands, so even being able to revoke a title at all in all circumstances is quite generous.

Game would be way too easy if you could revoke all of the titles of a rebellious noble. Just provoke him enough to revolt, and voila... get all of his titles? Meh, that would make the whole game absurd.

This is a game mechanic mainly done to prevent over expansion and other exploits.

Which is great, but is there also a timer or even a once-in-a-lifetime limit? I've released people so they'd revolt again, which they did, and I did not get another free revocation. Which is probably WAD, and that's fine, but the information the player gets is not enough to figure out what's happening. It would be nice to see "you have already revoked one title of this vassal" or "you have already revoked one title of this vassal and cannot revoke another without penalty until 1/1/1076".

It'd also be nice to get notice of the consequences of a revolt when a revolt occurs or when one is threatened, i.e. the player will or will not be able to revoke a title without tyranny.
