I'm trying to add ministers in without the editor (the one from Arma) and I've hit a few stumbling blocks.

First, I opened the minister file of Yugoslavia (I figure since they're last, they have the last used minister ID) and added.....
leaderfiletroubles1.jpg

James Coburn, aka the greatest actor ever, as a Chief of staff to Yugoslavia. Just as a test
So my first set of questions are:
1) Whether the ID I used isn't already used by another, although I didn't see any error messages. If so, could someone tell me where the used IDs end.
2) If minister pics have to have an "M" in front of them, or can you not even use letters for that description.

I put the picture of Mr. Coburn (from his role in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid
) in the Mods>Darkest Hour Full>GFX>Interface>pics. Like so...

My next set of questions are
1) Is this the place to put minister pictures
2) Again, do they have to be numbers only

I do all this and in the end James Coburn does not even appear as a leader for Yugoslavia. So I just want to know what went wrong and how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

1) I think a duplicated minister id would give an error, at least with debug enabled (see DD 27 for more info).
2) No you can use letters too, without a starting 'M'
3) Yes, right place
4) No.

Did you start a new game? That's necessary to load the new minister.
Also, that's a minister, not a leader. Moreover I can't recall if you need to leave an empty line at the end of the minister file. Try that.

That did it, although something strange happened to me.
See, when I added the new minister file minus the space, DH ran and loaded a whole lot faster over just base 1.2. When I added the line, the game slowed back to it's normal levels (Speaking of that, I never did get a clear answer about the 1.2 slowdown)
