I'm playing England and have a large part of northern Germany in my territory(I annexed them). But,unluckily,Ireland and Netherlands broke free and I'm trying to get them back.Ireland is currently allied with France(leader of alliance)and Netherlands only have Holland left, but a lot of colonies in North America and south-east Asia so its difficult to annex them.I'm in a alliance with Austria and Spain,so it would seem like to big a problem. But,nearly every one of my German provinces keep revolting all the time, distracting me from the wars with Netherlands,France and Ireland. How can I stop the revolting, can I get an war with just me and Ireland, and is it a better way to take Netherlands than hunt all their colonies around the world?

Possibe problems:
1. Nationalism. You will get 3% revolt risk if the province isn't concidered your national province. It will drop 1% every 10 years, so the province will be completely peaceful after 30 years. Nothing you do can lower this value.

2. War exhaustion. If you are at war for too long, people will get tired and start rebelling

3. Religious tolerance. You probably have 3 religions (protestant, catholic and reformed) in your country. Look if the tolerance sliders are where they should be.

You can always check why the province is rebelling by clicking on appropriate province, clicking on church and holding your mouse over rebellion risk. You will see all the factors that decreace/increace revolt risk. If you know the problem, it's easier to deal with it.

Probably nationalism though.
