The majority of "warships" in this period were merchant vessels with a load of soldiers stuffed onboard. If I remember correctly, that is? The idea of warships slugging it out broadside for broadside is anachronous... how to represent this in-game though?
The movement system described above seems to also prevent any kind of amphibious landing in enemy held territory. Wouldn't this make taking/re-taking island provinces impossible?
