Ok, here's the deal... I'm playing England and it's 1632 and I'm at war with Spain. I captured a few provinces of his in the New World, they were cities, and he sues for peace. I accept, taking two of his colonies. I begin taking my armies home from colonies I captured but let him keep.

At this point, I have small armies scattered all over the globe, but 4 large-ish ones at home in the British Isles, 3 large armies in England and Scotland and one in Ireland.

So, a few months after the end of the war with Spain, I get a string of instantaneous messages about losing provinces to the Rebel Scum. All of them hit at once. First Ulster and then just about every city province I own. Boom. Government falls and a good many of my armies abroad disappear, but not ALL of them. All of my armies at home are gone.

At the time, I had just won a war with Spain, I had had NO revolts and my stability was +1. Can someone help me out here?

Same thing happened to me; my monarch soon after was 'Times of Trouble'. Fortunately, my Russian nation was compact at the time and I was able to quell the rebellions in about 2 years. I too had a stability of 1 and had just finished a War in which I captured a few provinces.
