Unable to create new save, overwriting existing deletes old saves-PS5

Description​

I am on the PS5.

Playing the current version of the game. Playing with iron man off, auto save off, manual saving every two or three years.

Lately when I have been playing for two to three hours game would crash one or two times on save. Which was ok, I would lose a couple years but was not catestrophic. I could replay and would save ok the next time. I was in the late game, late 1300s after a 867 start. This was a lot better than the crash every save 4 months ago.

When I tried saving at 1384 I noted the save was not created, and my save from 1382 was missing. The last save shown was from 1380. I tried a couple times to create he 1384 save but it never appeared. When I tried to overwrite an old save from 1376 that save was deleted , same with a save from 1374.

Don’t know if this only happens in late game or random.

I've seen this kind of problem too, I'm on PS5 too.

I was in a hectic phase of the game, so I was rotating between 2 manual saves. Once in awhile, one of the saves would just vanish. Obviously since I was using 2 rotating saves it did not really create an issue for me, but it shouldn't have happened at all obviously.
