Unexpected crash to desktop upon saved game load.

Description​

Attempting to load an ironman save from the paradox launcher or the game's main menu results in CTD with a massive amount of random errors in the crash file. The save itself however doesn't seem to be corrupted and I had no mods running on the save. Was redirected here from support ticket. I hope you guys can provide either an effective solution, workaround or at least explanation. I've invested a lot of time in this one saved game, and would be greatly disappointed to have to discard it only to encounter the bug again in a future save.

Steps to reproduce​

Open paradox launcher, select saved game and launch. Or load into game main menu and select continue or load the save.
