So moving from one of the rare games that are good at the moment to the games that are increasingly buggy, and getting fantasy focus trees

I am not happy, at all. So, nothing from Vicky either then.

PDX strategy is basically, let s focus on our best selling games... even if they are becoming more and more problematic

Okaaay, this is a good thing, right? A big studio, unwieldy and in charge of many different games being split into distinct subdivisions for better managing and clearness, each specificly in charge of one game, yet still under the same PDS divison.
Like cutting off a branch from the main tree and planting it next to it, still under the same tree, but a distinct branch, growing on it's own with it's roots connected to the main tree.

This is not a disbanding of teams, just an organizational restructuration, right? If yes, then I'm reliefed, I thought of bad news when I read that title.
Oh and: GO TEAM GOLD! May you deliver some nifty HoI4 stuff with the influx of former Imperator devs!

That is literally the entire gaming industry. This is literally capitalism. How daft does a company have to be to focus on the NOT best selling products? Well except if they want to go bankrupt. This has nothing to do with PDX in particular, this is just plain and simple capitalism. Demand and supply.
And I say this as someone who's heart is still shattered in pieces, that Tyranny was abandoned T-T

you (Paradox) should atleast release good dlc's for the best selling games!

I'll repeat. At this rate of how PDX is treating the games and the players, we need a sad emoji ASAP

As I do not know how to react to your statement. With which I wholesomely agree.

I remember reading about how there were many ideas that came up for EU4, but at this stage it's severely outdated as a game that is almost >8 years old and extremely bloated with many content DLCs. I doubt Leviathan's release has silenced this mindset and I wonder how likely EU5 is.

CK3 proved that a sequel to an >8 years old game with 15 content DLCs can compete with its prequel quite well and I'm fairly certain the engine will allow for many more features.

You can always give us Victoria 3 as well. I'm hoping this could potentially lead to it :)

No objection here, sir. Though I must say, that I think Emperor for EU4 was a great DLC specifically content wise, not counting the bugs. We'll see how CK3 does in that regard, I don't consider Northern Lords yet, this was just a flavour pack.
And I think from what I've heard so far, that Barbarossa will be amazing.
Again talking only content wise. But I agree, that EU4 was extremely underwhelming the last couple years. Excluding Emperor, the last release (expansion, flavour, whatever) I consider to be okay content wise was Mandate of Heaven in 2017.

HoI 4 is becoming fantasy simulator. And I am not fan of that. Just check Poland focus tree dev diary, where you can install nazi as a king of Poland (!?)

I agree, I love emperor, I ment like you (paradox) should not release the dlc's like you have, with loads of bugs/glitches and unfinished features, I love paradox and mainly Eu4, eu4 is my most played game aside from world of warcraft and this make me very sad/dissapointed, but again Emperor was an great dlc but not a great release, like leviathan is now.

edit:

we have still not heard anything from Johan or tinto about this, so thank you for responding

How does Paradox Tinto compare to e.g. Paradox Arctic or Paradox Thalassic regarding company structure? It sounds like the latter are part of PDS while Tinto is not. What are the effects of this?

I think perhaps the post should have explained what a studio head is ;D I am a Game Director which means I work with the game and do the fun stuff. Thomas does the boring personnel, budget and money things for PDS Gold, if I may simplify it a little :D
These kinds of clarifications should be made loudly and often given the current state of people trying to finger-point and turning on the ground level devs themselves rather than management *cough reddit*.

Internally, we call them PDS Green, PDS Red, and PDS Gold
Not RGB? Why Gold over Blue?

Bit of a stupid question, I know, but RGB flows so naturally I genuinely did a double take when it wasn't.
