Hello, hope you devs are doing well
I'm having an issue, where the converter crashes at 90% and it's at writing stories.
I tried uncommenting and even deleting the line of code for stories, but it still crashes at 90%

Go to the converter folder - vic3tohoi4 folder - configurables folder - stories folder and delete the ita story txt. That will fix it.
Still doesnt convert the armies & navies tho

Can you upload your save and any used mods? That'll allow me to debug it.
 
Hello, I got a problem with the Vic3 to Hoi4 converter.
While it was converting the save to a mod, it failed at 90% of the conversion.
A message said to check the logs, although it does not seem to say what is the reason of the issue.
Could you please check them and know what is the issue?

We don't have anyone on the converter team with a Mac, so there's no support. If you are or know a C++ dev on Mac it shouldn't be too hard, but we need one to make it happen.
 
Doing a Mega-campaign from ck3 to hoi4. now got an error when converting from vic3 to hoi4. every converter has worked until the one from vic3 to hoi4 giving a error message at 90%. see log.txt if you find a way to fix it
i tried converting an old save (not a converted one) and it's giving the same error
Pls help

Others have been seeing this, and have found a workaround until I can get the underlying bug fixed:

Having trouble with getting my vic3 save to convert, keep getting therror TOS country leader has no definition with ID: 2199 if anyone can help

The converter is not working, I was playing with mods and all DLCs, and when I converted this happened, and I removed all mods, I tried again but without success, then I got a Vannila game starting in 1936 and the same problem, I uninstalled the converter, did a clean install, same problem, I verified the integrity of the files and disabled all DLCs, but the same thing, the converter is not working!!!:mad:

Temporary solution was posted above

The crash should now be fixed. I'm still checking into the missing armies and navies.
 
Military conversion should now be fixed. Paradox redid how the saves store militaries again on me. Let me know if anything seems off in the conversions. It looked fine in my test, but I can only test so much.

it doesnt work with a default 1836 game for me. I just started as persia, exited and put that save into the converter and it crashed out, any reason for this?

Odd, I just tried the same and it worked just fine. Mind upload log.txt from the converter directory and the save (just in case) so I can investigate further?
