Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Cannot log into Paradox Plaza while in the menu of the game to join multiplayer games. The 'Logging In' cog turns, and then 5 minutes later gives 'Unkown Error'. Logged in on the launcher, linked to Steam, can log into account on other devices etc. Tried reinstalling, verifying, making new account.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue

I have the same error. I am also running the game on Windows 10. I thought it was a Internet connection issue as I am in China now. But it seems not?

The problem is solved by switching to linux. I am now using ubuntu 22.04LTS and running the game with proton experimental. I also use VPN. Now I can log into the game
