Hi, as we had problems with Vnet we switched our online session to virtual LAN which so far has brought several benefits:
1. independence from P'dox servers
2. the possibility to have several players joining from the same internet connection (depending on the bandwidth) - and sitting in the same room while playing online.
i.e. I was able to run Italy on an extra laptop next to my normal pc (Germany) as the Italian player had to skip a session due to university duties.
One of the computernerds of our group had found the right tool for this way of (really easy) online play:

It works like a charm - you just have to create a group and start the MP game as a LAN game.
The only grief I have sofar is that the virtual LAN doesn't like firewalls... (though nowadays everyone should be protected by his router anyway)
