I've noticed something a bit odd when playing as Volantis that founded the New Valyrian Empire (as a merchant republic), the rulers of other free cities are dubbed Triarchs and seem to odd lines of inheritance. Either straight primogeniture or upon death, my character (the ruler) inherits all their titles.

They also do not do that split up into various kingdoms for megawars event. But they do seem to vote in the Volantis triarch elections.

The thing is, shouldn't their titles not be triarchs? For those only refer to the Old Valyrian blooded types that vote and are elected in Volantis itself. They should be styled, Magisters, Princes, or whatnot.

This is a limitation of the game engine, characters titles usually follow the culture of their top liege. So in this case because the top liege is east valyrian everyone in the realm has east valyrian titles. Hopefully with the addition of government types in the next patch this will become moddable.

Reactions:
Is it possible to change a value somewhere that allows for the Volantene triarchs to be High Valyrian as opposed to just Volantene or Eastern Valyrian? Given their focus on Valyrian lineage, I believe they would go for High Valyrians as well.
