This game needs some better mechanics for the War for the Dawn and fighting White Walkers. Here's what happened to me;

So I'm playing as Dany in the scenario right when she arrives at Qarth.

I went through the event chain normally, eventually becoming Queen of Mereen and all of slavers' bay. With a solid army, I invaded westeros with the proper casus belli and became Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

Yay!

Thing is, the others had already started their invasion by then. Mance Rayder had defeated the Night's Watch and took the wall, but then Winter came rolling and started crawling upon the north.

At some point I lost/dismissed my Unsullied army and the Khal Jaqhal's army as well. Either by accident or because I thought it was gamey.

But then I set on to defeat the White Walkers with my dragons.

First war, no luck. Hired Golden Company and amassed a 17k army but even then couldn't defeat them (Their numbers were around 90k)

I eventually lost the war and half the North to Winter. Actual winter, meanwhile, got worse and worse, reducing my manpower and crippling my economy.

My last resort was declare War for the Dawn on them and call for aid. Here's when the problems begin.

- Clicking "Send for aid in Essos" or "Call the Realm for Aid" does nothing.
- Apparently War for the Dawn isn't triggering the megawar mechanics. None of the wardens does anything against the white walkers.
- I can't amass a decent army, can't call or control my vassals' army (Which I calculate would be enough to defeat them)
- All I can do is wait to lose war after war which hits my prestige.

My suggestions:

- Implement some Azor Ahai decision for the ruler on the Iron Throne or other meeting certain requirements to align with a Red Priest and eventually convert to Rhllor before/during War for the Dawn. This could lead to a Lightbringer event that gives said ruler some big advantage against white walkers. I know there's a chance of one showing up randomly but this would be a special occasion.
- Allow the Iron Throne to raise vassals' armies for War for the Dawn since it won't trigger the megawar thing.
- Tweak the AI somehow. Even during the first war with the WWs, I couldn't beat them because my allies' armies wouldn't stack up with mine. It makes no sense becoming the Ruler of the Iron Throne to save it from Winter if you can't even coordinate its armies against a greater evil.
- Allow for using more than one dragon in battle. I'm pretty sure Daenerys has three for a reason.
- Give some conclusion for the rest of the world even if Westeros ends up a complete frozen wasteland. I mean, just like the Targaryens fled Valyria after the Doom and went on with their lives, maybe the Doom of Westeros should allow for any dinasty on the island to flee and start a new life in Essos without living in permanent winter.

The other ideas you have are very good, too, but I'm especially looking forward for this particular one.
That can't work thought with the way the system is built, Dany has one dragon she rides as all the dragon fighting events would be messed up as it would scope to the wrong dragons etc.

An Azor Ahai event is actually kinda interesting.
As for the other suggestions, we cannot change the ai at all.
Winter will be permanent no matter where you go if the white walkers are not beaten back.

I was more thinking of Aegon and his two sisters while looking at that idea.

That already happens, if there are other dragon riders in the battle then when the decisions is taken for a field of fire then the other dragons do it as well as yours

Really? It couldn't work for me, somehow. When Aegon or Balerion can't fight, I can't use Visenya or Rhaenys along with their dragons.

I don't know what I've done wrong, but I've never seen it happening.

I see.
But what about the megawar mechanics? Is this a specific bug in my game or is every War for the Dawn supposed to not activate the megawar mechanic?

I've started another game to try, but the way it is right now (After countless reloadings), declaring it doesn't trigger the mechanics and the Wardens do nothing. They don't emancipate to start fighting nor raise any armies and I can't raise theirs.

Also, sending for aid in essos or the realm, how it is supposed to work? In this game it does nothing.

Not sure about the mega wars tbh, as for sending for aid it gives the essosi rulers a choice to aid you or not they are all most likely choosing no I would imagine.

AI dragonriders will use their dragons in battle themselves. Playing as Aegon, you will not get the option to deploy Visenya's dragon in battle, but if she is the commander of an army and her dragon is not injured she will deploy it herself.

I see. Thank you very much for clarifying that!
