what are you waiting for to fix the steam AoD 1.05 bugs? When I check the cache it says that a file is missing and needs to be reloaded. I reinstalled with the same result and installed on a different computer with the same result.
Some scenarios like Poland, France and Africa give an error on the starting victory conditions screen saying that there is a bug because no triggers can be found. You can't save games unless you create a folder yourself in the scenario folder called "save games" ("saved games" will not do). There are recurrent crashes to desktop - I got one with the Case White (France) scenario just this morning - possibly when the game tried to autosave (not certain). The error message said that the program had requested an abnormal end or something.
If you can't fix it fer cryin out loud replace the file with the 1,04 version that seemed to work OK - at least that is what I read, having not tried it myself.
I have ALL of the HOI programs including Semper Fi, Armageddon etc, except for Hour of Darkness and Iron Cross, and the bugs had drivern me away for the past six months. I am starting to think that I should have stuck with the Matrix games I have been playing and WoW...
