Every character have their own stress meters.
You rule your kingdom => Your kids do their own stuff
They might take bad traits to deal with the stress. Such as Drunkard, Flagellant, Comfort Eater and many more.
If your kid did a bad job dealing with their stress and now you are playing as them, their stress is your problem now.
If your new character is NOT shy, host feasts to reduce stress. If he is shy, host hunt instead. You can host a funeral for your dead king too.

-i played his father
-his father die
-( he was in a feast when i started to play it)then i was unable to do a feast with him and i started with a 253 some stress with him that fuck stupid!
this stress system is a dumb ! malus after malus
just broke my gameplay anyway i lost my interest in that game
if that game was so nice there will not have 49 page of complaint!
Do you die during the feast or after? If you survive the feast, immediately host a hunt or a funeral for your dead father and set your intent to "Recreation/Mourn".

Yes sadly stress management of the kids is often annoying but you get better at dealing with it as you play more.

Don't give your heir land. Land management often causes the most stress. Here are the best traits to give your heir If you are their guardian:

Sadistic: Reduces stress If you execute prisoners.
Arbitrary: Gain less stress.
Generous: Sending gifts reduces stress.

if that game was so nice there will not have 49 page of complaint!

yeah...

if i execute a prisonner i will get a malus
and i wish to build good reputation because i started a new reign and my reputation is not so good with the people with this new son caracter

Generally, he is a different Character, and so he does his own thing. It happens.

It is not wholly random, though. There are certain combinations of Traits (like e.g. Ambitious, Diligent and Paranoid; these have cumulative +125% Stress Gain, yet -50% Stress Loss among them) that make the Stress much more of an issue, while some (e.g. Content, Lazy, and Arbitrary; cumulative -50% Stress gain, yet +60% Stress Loss) make it much easier to manage.

so… while you cannot really make sure that your heirs will not develop into Drunkards due to Stress-drinking, you actually have some impact over that. You can educate them so that they will not be overloaded by stressful Traits, and you can avoid events that stress them at children.
