What patch should I use with the "Blackstar" version of EU?

Hi all, I finally got EU from an Aussie mail order place that offered it boxed and non-boxed. Since the non-boxed was 30 bucks cheaper I got it. Only when I tried patching it with the US and UK patches, the game complained that there was EU wasn't installed in the case of the US patch, and that there was no CD in the case of the UK patch. On the CD it says 'Blackstar' and JHD Interactive or HD intereactive or something( I can't decipher the logo too well). It also says that it is the 'English Version'. The actual game is already patched to 1.07b and has the Independence scenarios. But I have no Idea why the patches don't work! Please help

'cause I have just gotten a second CD-version of EU from E-bay and it is also the English version. I tried the NA and UK patches too and they don't work and I was just about to suspect this was not a legitimate version.

I'll try that Benelux patch and see what happens.

That did the trick!

So if you have that BlackStar 1.07b English/UK version, you need the Benelux version of the 1.09 patch.

Now - may I ask why you need a second CD? (A curious duck)
 
Sure, see I bought two copies

of EU NA version and passed one on as a gift to friend. That left me with one copy. And I worry about damaging it bc I swap it between 4 machines. I do run a 1.07a ****z version also that is not "patchable" but that I like for the fact it is laptop friendly.

So I bid on this @ E-bay and got it for $20 but I did not know it was the UK 1.07b version. Hence my situation.
 
OK - thanks for the reply.
I know someone else who says his ****z version runs OK on his laptop whilst his original doesnt! Wish I knew why.
