Why can we import fbx files without a LOD ?? Limit on geometry count ??

I've noticed while building and testing works in progress ingame that the asset editor lets me import fbx files... without any associated LOD.

Does that mean that anyone can build some stuff, let's say a one family house... with 1000 tris... and not put any lod with it and upload it to the steam workshop ????

I see huge performance issues there when people will start to have cities filled with badly optimized buildings. :glare:

Edit... I just saw someone posting a zonable building with 2700 tris !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to put a cap on the tri count when importing or poorly built things will make the gamers experience a misery.

If you don't create the _LOD, the game will make it for yourself when you import the models. But sometimes it creates weird lod. SO, it's better you take the control and make the lod yourself.
