To specify the topic some ruler marry a 12 year old girl sometimes even younger. It is not a betrothal but a marriage and I do not get why they are doing this.

In middle ages nobles married women up to 10 yo. It was common and accepted. In the books Sansa stark gets married to Joffrey baratheon as soon as she gets her menarche. It amazed me that in vanilla women couldn't be married even before reaching 16 years old.

Yeah they got married but in my games a 45 year old man who had only a few years left to get heirs married a 5 year old girl. And the 16 year old young heir of a big dynasty married a 43 year old lady.
I don't know how it works in the mod, but in vanilla even a 80 yo man can impregnate women, easily if the woman has an high fertility. For the boy it is possible that she had a very good claim or simply she was one hell of a milf.
Have any of you guys even played the mod? The lowest age you can get married is 14, if you have seen any lower than that there's likely some events that haven't taken this into account or something set from the history files.
There is an event for stupid ai diving blood marriages eg: aegon 1st tries to marry is daughter that is like 8, in which case the daughter gets married to someone else to prevent the ai from making stupid betrothals or marriages.
I understand what Rifal is saying I haven't a problem with this kind of marriages although I find it slightly exaggerated that the AI marriages five year old girls but I just want to figure if I am the only one who has the experience that the AI does that sort of things or is it normal. In short do your AI players marriage children too?
The AI has nothing to do with it. Neither the AI nor the player can marry characters younger than 14...
So you don't have this problem? I asked because then I think some of my datas are broken.
Well,a 90 year old lord is fucking 15 year olds in the books so it makes a lot of sense.
There are events in the mod that sometimes will force the AI to marry characters that are younger than 14, high_valyrian.10 for example.
