Why does this game is abandoned while 3x more players than the NEW Surviving game?

Seriously, it is fun, but rather unbalanced. Yet it has three times more concurrent players than Surviving the Aftermatch, which came much later on.
Why devs abandoned this game while it is obvious some DLCs will earn you a profit.

Is it abandoned though? There was a DLC added not long ago? Or maybe my time machine broke and it was a long ago. On the other hand, maybe the game is complete? It is has been done, published, bug-fixed and it is simply done. There doesn't have to be an endless loop of adding new stuff. It is simply done. If you don't have DLC but want to have it check GG.deals

It's definitely abandoned, because Paradox didn't pay Haemimont Games to release fixes to some bugs or improve the gameplay...
