Why is my game crashing???

Three different times now, my game just crashes inexplicibly. The game hasn't slowed down, due to other programs running, it just quits. I am playing US (why would that matter?) using CORE.31, with CORE colors mod. My computer has 2MB ram and is fairly new.

What gives? And is anyone else having similar issue? It's gettings bad enough that I'm going to go to save every month!!!

By the way, I really like the new patch. Thanks guys. And no, that's not the problem, my game crashed a couple of times with CORE.30. Cheers.

Is it just crashing with no warning or is there ANY behavior repeating before the crash?

With 2 mb RAM I'm not surprised...

Never had CTD with CORE 0.30, btw.

I have had it twice with Japan - late 1942, nothing special at that time - no events, nothing... After a reload of earlier save it was fine though.

My bad guys, I meant 2 GB not 2 MB ram. Urghhhh. To answer the other thought... no, there is no indication just prior to the crashes. The screen just goes black... and then the message, "CORE has experienced a problem and needs to close". Very frustrating.

If you have a modern processor (less than a year old and rather good) then there has been unverified reports of high game speed causing the game to crash. If you have a save game before the crash, reload and play at a slightly lower speed setting and see if that works.
