why is this game locked to 1024

its pretty lazy programming.
shame i'll never buythis game as i have an lcd and it looks like arse, whose idea was it to save some cash by locking it to 1024x768 res?

Sorry you feel that way, one of the problems that will be solved in the future since the new engine is 3D for future games, for example EU3.
