Widescreen Laptops

My only computer is a 15.4" widescreen laptop and I just got CK, ordered direct from Paradox, but to my dismay many of the graphics, particularly the character portraits are grossly distorted in the game.

Is there a way I can fix this problem?

Set the res to a normal one.
Or there is a user mod that allows you to run Paradox games in a window, that might work for you.
