Will an update be released to fix the bug making Great Destroyer achievement impossible?

I've been browsing the wiki, and the apparent line is that the achievement is broken, devs know how to fix it, but won't.

Is that correct? If so, please just remove the achievement completely so it's possible to "finish" the game. As a fan for over a decade, it's disappointing to have such an egregious bug go unfixed indefinitely.

It is officially confirmed to be buggy ( https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...y-counts-as-a-conquered-great-wonder.1461006/ ), but it is not more or less (un)likely to be fixed than anything else, since we don't know whether (and if so, when and in which form) development of IR will resume.
