As the title says, will there be a CK2+ Compatibility Patch with custom histories and/or custom maps from http://ck2generator.com/

Apparently it makes it really easy to make a custom map, so I kinna wanna make one and try it.

Edit: I know the faq said something about no compatibility patches, the mod was too large. But I think something like this calls for something different--like a CK2+ Lite version, that's just the mechanics changes, extra ambitions, etc and maybe the more generic events.

It would require a massive rework of a lot of things, as a lot of things are tied to the assumption that the map is the way it is. There won't ever be something like that officially from the team, sorry guys.

Well, apparently the guy made it work. Kind of?

  • Mod support - New 'select mods' button in configuration tab, select the mods and mod order, close the panel and when you generate it will use events and decisions from that mod. At this time it won't use religions/cultures/titles and the like, but should otherwise be mostly compatible with them. I've tested CK2+ and HIP and both seem to work with random maps and history, but no guarantees on all functionality of any mod working and it currently only works on non .zipped mods in the paradox mod folder (though non event/decision mods off Steam Workshop will likely work without this process anyway). You'll obviously need to enable the said mods in the game launcher.

  • Normal map generation vastly improves the lighting on vanilla generated maps.

  • Added 'Min' randomness to map drawer to make more accurate maps.

He did the easy part, he says so himself.

No cultures, religions, title or history... That's where the mod is. The mod needs stuff like titles.
