I've been told that it is recommended to use the free program WinMerge to convert older mods (i.e. specifically AoD and to a lesser degreeHoI II) in order to use them on Darkest Hour.
Can someone explain how to do this? Was thinking of trying the Draka mod and 1964 again.

Taking an older mod into ... I imagine the full DH map... is a huge undertaking. I know, as I've just done it. Yes, I have a game that finally "boots up", but now the difficulty is to get the totality of files working properly, and as they were meant to.

Please don't be put off. You'll find lots of help here on the forum, from the Devs, and I'll give you any help you need. It IS fun and a challenge to do, and I find it very worthwhile. But it does take over your life, somewhat...;)
