As the title states. Recently, EU4 launch a new 1.31 update, which was lets say.. controversial among gamers and reviews due to reports of bugs, crashes and insane exploits which made the launch choppier than a choppy ocean full of chopsticks.

This has made me really want to give big kudos to the Imperator devs for making the 2.0 launch relatively speaking very smooth and almost bug free! I have had a geat time with it and think its a fantastic addition to the game, and hoping for more news on the way soon :)

For me the game is better than EU4 and is near as Stellaris.

EU4 I can't play with other nations them European or some Asian Major natios. The others lacks flavors, missions and are motionless. And the AI behave with super European Alliance on the world.

It is the lowest rated item on steam. Ever. Smh.
I was trying to be polite, whilst I do agree with a lot of the problems and I sympathise a lot with us gamers predicament, I’m not sure if I can agree with some of the negativity posted about the devs over in that thread. Do feel for Johan although questions do need to be asked. :)

I’m quite concerned with reports that now it’s impossible for AI nations to colonise even though it was raised months before. I play often with my friend (we follow the tradition of paradox games to wait a month before playing a new patch XD) and if we can’t colonise then how can the game even follow history at least a tiny bit? That does concern me a lot.

I just take a little look on the new update of Leaviathan, i don't have all dlcs and expasion of EU4, I just want to play the game in the way that I want.
I just bring something to them months ago about the colonizing way been very fast and OverPower. In less than 100 years the european Nations already own all World with a development that is at least impossible to counter-attack, and remember they act like a Super Alliance, if you attack a Colonial Nation they will call all other European even if they were in war with each other.

For sure. I think the people hurling insults and attacks at the devs should be straight up banned. It's disgusting

all games. The entirity of the steam catalogue.

Wow. I mean that's an achievement in and of itself.

That said, while I feel sorry for the devs caught in the crossfire... Leviathan was the kind of broken release that PDX hasn't seen since the days of Gettysburg. That something like this was released as an expansion to one of PDX'es flagship games indicates a complete failure on the part of Paradoxes management. I hope the terrible reviews are enough to make PDX to think long and hard about what caused them to so completely miss their strategic goals.

Yeah I never got why IR got the hatred it got initially...

Like with the four ‘mana’ types - EUIV has been doing that for years and everyone was fine with it...you had 0 control over it and it was so abstract and bizarre (why does administrative power tie in to religion but not trade??)

IR has always felt more organic...I mean I enjoy EUIV (haven’t tried in last few days haha) but to me it felt like it was doing the world thinly whereas IR is doing one period intensely...

Basically like going from a History degree to a PhD - less covered but much more deeply!

Problems went as lot deeper than mana, mana got most of the hoo-ha, but the game was really shallow and unengaging, you could literally play 20 hours and be bored of it. They caved on mana and removed it, and then worked with community to turn the game round completely, there's still work to do however, but the bare bones were always there, even on day 1 of release.

you say this like it's a bad thing
I guess probably because on EUIV you can have some control over it...as you get:
3 + ‘skill of leader’ + ‘skill of advisor’ + ‘bonuses’

IR was:
‘Skill of leader’

So if your character had brain damaged trait or was jsut terrible you could end up in a situation where one or more did not increase at all as their stat was on 0...in fact quite a lot of characters have at least one stat of 0 when you look...

I know that other things were thin on the ground, but mana was the flame we all flocked too!

No, that's what you inferred, especially as I said "problems went a lot deeper than mana" as an opening.
If it was unintentional then so be it, but it absolutely is what it reads like.
