Hey. I just switched over to having a Windows XP (Pro) computer. The game installed and works fine, but when I try applying the 1.07 patch, the game starts up fine, but won't start a game. Once I've selected a country and such, the game just quits, no warning or error message. What is wrong here? Is this an XP problem, or something else?

It might be an XP problem, since I had it as well; I believe it is due to some task switching when displaying the videos. Deleting the avi folder did the trick for me.

Or renaming the AVI foldoer to something like AVI_BACK, which is what I did. Solved my problem with it as well. It is a bink video player issue and deleting or renaming the folder fixes it for the most part. You won't have that crashing problem.

Thanks. it works fine now.

Ah! my young aprentices are learning well. :D
