Yet another CTD thread (Solved)

I got the game installed 1.07 patch and all was well.
Decided to install lates beta-patch, Bad idea
every time the game loads it gets past the intro fine but when it starts to load it crashes.
Sometimes it gets as far as the scenario selection screen, but when i try to load my save game or a scenario CTD

I've already done a comlete re-install of the game plus patch (NOT Beta) and tried renaming the avi folder, nothing works

please help

So 1.07 no beta worked fine.
You installed the beta and the game started to crash.
You did a complete uninstall, then reinstalled the game, and now 1.07 does not work.

That does not really make sense.
If 1.07 worked before why would it not work now?
What else was changed on your system or settings since?

Also system specs would help to diagnose the problem.
Keep the AVI folder renamed, set the color depth to 16BIT, and match the game resolution you set in eusettings.

Try playing with the music turned off.

I havent changed anything on my system
I'm running windows 98SE with a 350mhz PentiumII 191mb of RAM and a Riva TNT2 card, with AFAIK the latest drivers.

Look through the self help sticky thread, notice that 1 uninstall is a hot link. Follow that procedure to completely wipe EU2 from your system.

Then reinstall from your CD and see if the original version works for you.

Your system just meets the minimum requirments, and a lot have things have been added since release.

Also what version of directX are you using, and please run the directX diagnostic.

Problem solved the game had to little virtual memory to deal with o increasing it fixed the problem
