It's great to see you working so hard to recreate history without extreme railroads in the form of mission/focus trees.

Will cultures have taboos as well as religions? I could see Germans rejecting French wine in the midst of the Franco-German wars, for example.

Also, will each bankruptcy count for Fragmentation (i.e. Qing collapses if it goes bankrupt five times in a row), or is it simply a check for if QIng has ever gone bankrupt?

Only Religions have Taboos in V3.

It's a check to see if Qing has ever been bankrupt - though if you've gone bankrupt 5 times in a row you don't need a journal entry to tell you that something has gone very wrong.

Very nice. Like the detailed event chains that seem possible.

One thing I noticed is that the information in Opium Crises pop-up is rather vague/confusing when the previous ones I've seen were quite clear.

The All Markets and Any State parts in particular don't make sense to me.

That's some very WIP tooltipping. It'll make more sense on release.

So it's nice to see the Opium Wars being represented in a way that ties into the trade mechanics in the game. However, are all events in the game going to provide only one or two choices? I feel like most of the ones showed off only provide the player two options max. Are there going to be events that provide more options than that? I would think it might limit where players can take things if they only have two ways to respond to something happening.

Many events will have 3+ options!

This stuff looks neat! How will American Prohibition work with the system, would it be an Obsession with alcohol (reflecting the massive black market after the ban) or a Taboo?

We use a Cultural Obsession with Liquor as a trigger.
