hoi4 countries needs 70 days to gather a political power of 70. this is the same time Finland completes one focus. So, wouldn't it be too high a cost for ALL socialist decisions to be 70 political powers? This threatens to force gamers playing Finland to wait too long to enter socialist alt-historical.
So there will be only two new releasable countries (Greenland and Sápmi)? Or maybe any other more like Åland, Gotland or Scania? Or perhaps Québec too? (it's a "Nordic country" too)
Finland can only get cores on Estonia (among the Baltics) if Estonia agrees to unite via event. The rest is claims and occupied territory.1. In the picture of greater finland does finland have cores on the baltic states (LIT, EST, LAT)
2. If they do have cores, does finland get a core on Wilno which LIT has a core on at the start of the game (but is owned by Poland)?
Thank you for the input!Hella Wuolijok should be Hella Wuolijoki, Muurmanski should be Muurmanni, the red stripe on the T-28 should be blue and coastal jägers didn't get berets until 1980. The first Finnish units to use berets were the paratroopers who got theirs in the 1960s, no doubt influenced by the English-speaking world. Also if you want a unit name for an on-map unit with the Renault FT-17s in 1936, that would be Erillinen Hyökkäysvaunukomppania, shortened Er.HvK. I'd use the abbreviated form as the template name and the full name as the unit name.
Any chance the missing northern half of White Karelia with Kantalahti could be added to the state below the Kola Peninsula?

Also, any chance the East Karelian states would be split to accommodate e.g. the USSR's "concessions" to the FDR?

If the USSR conquers Finland in the Winter War and installs Kuusinen in Helsinki, will there be an event allowing the FDR to "request" annexation by the USSR, in the same vein as what happened with the Soviet puppet regimes in the Baltic States in the aftermath of the Fall of France when Germany was busy in the west?
Also, glad to see historically important generals like Oesch, Airo and Raappana were added, along with stuff for the Continuation and Lapland Wars.
P.S. The guy in the "White Death" event photo is not Häyhä, but a Swedish volunteer in a propaganda shot somewhere behind the Finnish lines during the Winter War.![]()
This is something that we can definitely look to do in the future, but nothing planned as of now. From my own personal pov, and to be completely honest, I am not 100% happy with how this is communicated to the player atm, I would like to have a bit more visiblity in diplo actions so the player knows that if they join the Comintern via diplomatic action, they will get Kuusinen. If we managed to fix this, I would feel more comfortable with implementing something similar in other countries. But as usual, can't make any promises!and I have another question. This seems to be the statement that when the Soviet Union turned Finland into a communist Puppet, it could seat a different leader than when other communist countries turned Finland into a Puppet. If what I understand is correct, you guys can include this system in other countries in the long-run?
For example, William Dudley Pelley will be in power when the america becomes a Puppet of other fascist countries, but when america becomes a Puppet of Japan, Japanese general can be able to implement military junta.
of couse you guys can't apply these features to all countries, but I think this system can make gamers more immersed in the game if apply that to at least some major countries.
The +5% WS comes from his former trait ith a -5% WS penalty being removed! In focus "Socialist Welfare" say Vaino Tonner will get trait with +5% war support but in his new profile don't has it.
It's bug or something?
I think that Finnish screenshots includes most (if not all) of the Soviet cores you can get, but keep in mind that Finland can also form the Nordic Union, coring the entirety of the Nordics!Overal amazing Dev Diary, however a little disappointed on the number of claims finland seems to get, the maximum extent of the cores in Russia seems to be about this:

Are there any that are missing?
Yes, they are generated when Karelia is released (both during gameplay or at game start if Soviet Fragemented option is selectedWere there any new victory points added to East Karelia and the Kola Peninsula?
All three ideological advisors are cousins, clearly!I love how the sámi political advisors are all the same guy but have some little differences, that's kinda funny View attachment 1024096
No split!Did either Greenland's or Iceland's states get split at all? I see that you guys added impassible area in Greenland. Just wondering if you did or not.
Just as a minor note, Sweden does not actually get cores on all those states outside of Finland, but rather 70% complianceOveral amazing Dev Diary, however a little disappointed on the number of claims finland seems to get, the maximum extent of the cores in Russia seems to be about this:

Bures!Hello, devs. Sámi person here.
What source material has been used for reference when making the sámi leader, general, and advisor portraits?
Sorry for the late response, lots of things to do just before releaseBures, bures!
Neat photo. Would you happen to have metadata on it? Judging by their clothing, they look like they're from the same area as my ancestors. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are at least related.
I'm very glad and excited that sámi are represented in one of my favourite videogames. I know it's late in the process for you guys, but I'd like to give a bit feedback on the portraits, if I may. It's mostly on the clothing, since gákti's follow a very strict ruleset on how they are to look like and each sámi area has their own style. A facebook page called "Colour your past" does a lot of restoring and colorizing of old photos, and most of them are of sámi people. Therein are sámi from all of Sápmi - both from the inland and from the coast. The reindeer herders from Finnmark and (finnish) Lapland seem well represented, but I think sea sámi from the coast and southern sámi could also do with representation.
The leader portrait for the Saami Council is cool, and I love that the lady of the right of the portrait is wearing a sweater over her gákti - that's very much how some sámi women would dress at the time. The skirt part looks a bit odd, though. What's in northern sámi called "holbi", which is the lower edge of the gákti, seems to be too high up and on several places (correct would be to be only one place). It's usually right at the edge. Around 1:30 on this following youtube video shows pretty well the holbi (). As a small nitpick, the lady in the back of the portrait could do with a stronger contrast of color on her holbi, much like what is on her shoulder.
Please do note that drawing/making gákti's just right is something a lot of us ourselves struggle with, because of the strict, unwritten ruleset. I don't mean to discourage you by saying this. I just want you to know that if you have and keep finding this to be difficult, it's because *it is* difficult. That's why I'm very grateful that you've taken the effort you have taken.
While I don't consider myself as an authority on the subject by any means, merely as someone with "inside knowledge", I'd be happy to help to the extent of my knowledge if you need to contextualize some images and such. I'm also sure I can help you get in touch with someone who is an authority on the subject, should you want to.
