While we never got a dev response to anything posted in this thread, I did find this in the newest QA Dev diary:


Doesn't make me happy, but at least it's some kind of explanation I suppose.

The achievements were closed at the point when we announced them, we will consider community response when we will be preparing new ones. We thought it is interesting to pursue a different path. Frankfurt's achievement is an Homage to how fun was for us the Grandest Lan event.
