Armenian, Georgian, Karaman, Syrian, Tlemcen, and Trebizond units are all tied to culture so both of these should work.

I also hope that the Cyprus ones are also used by Jerusalem.

Yep, Cyprus is tied to the CYP tag and the KOJ Jerusalem tag.

The Mamluks have the ability to unlock a new diplomatic Action with their mission tree, called "Export Grain". This Achievement requires you to use this action towards countries on every continent.

Ah of course. In which case no they won't appear for Algerian cultures.

Why is Byzantium using the Imperator Roman units again? I thought that was fixed. They look really out of place.

We never changed that afaik. But you can easily disable the DLC from the launcher if you don't want it.
