Yes. A revolution that spawns as a result of Enact Industry Banned will immediately destroy all eligible heavy industry in the territory of the revolt. However, this law is quite rare and difficult to pass, only being favoured as a result of the new Luddite ideology, the Agrarian ideology, or comparatively preferred by anarchists if a state has Interventionism, Laissez-Faire, or Traditionalism. However, in the latter case, anarchists would prefer to enact Cooperative Ownership or Agrarianism in their revolutions. Will a revolution that is the result of an "Enact Industry Banned" Political Movement immediately destroy all industry?
I actually don't remember if revolutions resulting from a political movement already start with the law they wanted the government to enact, or whether they actually have to pass it first.
Until now, having to change all PMs back that were changed by a revolution was already a huge issue (although somewhat alleviated by the new button that came with 1.2), but if all heavy industry were to be destroyed immediately, this would be a literal game-changer (if Westphalia has such a revolution, Prussia will have its Pol Pot moment).
Paternalist IGs such as Landowners would also prefer Industry Banned to Command Economy and Cooperative Ownership, but not by much.
Yes. Several new ideologies have been added - Protectionist, Positivist, Luddite, Jacksonian Democrat, and Authoritarian.Very cool! Has any new ideology been added?
The new Industry Banned law looks interesting, does anyone starts with it?
Protectionists are in favour of Interventionism and Protectionist trade policies, Positivists prefer anti-clerical, technocratic, and republican policies, Luddites wish to ban industry, Jacksonian Democrats desire both slavery and expanded voting rights, and Authoritarians prefer single-party states, autocracies, or other such systems.
b) A Cybernetic State is a Council Republic with Technocracy also enacted. This is damn amazing. I really love the expanded granularity of the law system; really incredible. And Alleluia! Revolutions make sense. My questions are:
a) Is there a timeline on when this patch is due as it seems quite save breaking
b) Any hints as to what cybernetic state entails
c) Will there be events around Ludditism?
d) Will there be new leader ideologies; the dd suggests that all igs can enact Single Party, which seems strange for the intelligentsia as a group.
c) Yes, as law enactment events whilst enacting Industry Banned.
d) Yes. See my previous comment.
For a later time. It's certainly something we want.Any chance that state discrimination and social discimination will be separated in 1.3, or is it something for a later time?
These laws are intended to be rare, only being supported by a select few ideologies. These all look interesting, especially the Land Reform and the One-Party State. However, I am mildly concerned about some of the radical laws, such as Banned Industry and Technocracy. Particularly, I am worried that they may end up being too commonly enacted by countries in the game. Is there anything currently planned to limit how much these laws show up, particularly among AI?
The Atheist religion can appear as the religion of certain characters in otherwise non-atheist states, but outside of this, Atheism is generally reserved for state atheist countries. Whilst there's certainly atheist pops floating around, especially near the tail end of our time period, they're generally fairly small unless the state is specifically fostering anti-religious policies.Would the Atheist "religion" be available in non State Atheist countries? While imposing an authoritarian measure to destroy religion like that would probably be the fastest way to grow an atheist population, I think that having Atheists show up in the latter part of the game on their own would make sense too.
