Putting the voting back on track

vote teep

Tune

Villagers (jubilantly)
Now three yaks are all that is left
Baring teeth and feeling bereft
Sid's poor counting got votes by the mountain
Following which he's lynched

Yaks (sotto voce)
O the Seer shall blunder, The Seer's not bright,
We shall hunt the Seer tonight
Northwards leading, soon be bleeding
He'll go down without a fight

I read the whole thread before my post, now how about you both have a tall glass of stfu.

Then justify your vote then, as I was instrumental in hanging a wolf, and you ought to be subbed out for phailing to vote, Snoopydoop.

I don't justify it. It's a bad vote that I was planning on changing, although not as bad as a vote on marty. For today we should bandwagon people from the euro/throwaway vote/ no vote camp obviously.

and you ought to be subbed out for phailing to vote, Snoopydoop.

I don't disagree, but I haven't been, and the 'lynch snoopdogg cuz he sux' movement isn't going to help the village much.

Unvote jonti. Vote lord strange.

Vote Mr. G

For his attempt to save (or rather lynch me) sybersid instead of me.

Preliminary Ballot Count

hebelecan 2: marty99, THE_SPLIT
Teep 3: The Arch Mede Jester 180, trespoe
Snoopdogg 2: jonti-h, Mr.G
Trespoe 1: hebelecan
Lord Strange 1: Snoopdogg
Mr .G 1: EUROO7

I don't think we'll lynch a wolf today, as whenever I post an analysis that everyone follows it's usually wrong, while the ones that get ignored are usually right

Snoopdogg, you said you've now read through the thread, why the vote on Lord Strange?
I'm not saying it's wrong, merely asking for an explanation

Everyone knew that during christmas time, Ananas always visited the North Pole to help with the toy making. This year, they were short-handed and had to bring in replacements from all over the world. Ananas looked at the green elf called marty with strangeness. This replacement didn't look like the rest of the elves, he was always talking about a pot of gold and rainbows, instead of working hard on making toys for Santa to deliver when he got back from his smokes. Either way, Ananas thought, as long as he tries to find the evil yaks, he was welcome to stay...

No great reason really. Anyone except for you and the syber_sid voters is a fine target today I think. I'm a tiny bit suspicious of mr. G who, like euro said, could have saved syber_sid. It's something anyway. But I don't want to lynch him just for being an active voter.

In case I get hunted tonight, which I probably will, or else one of the Syber Sid voters, heres a slightly detailed thingy of players who aren't semi-cleared or inactive, and there relationships with other players
It only covers a few relationships for eaach player given the lack of info we have, and so is useless right now, but maybe it could be helpful later

Analysis; Part 1 of a series of indeterminate length

Jester 180: Quiet for the most part, didn't join the Syber or EURO, keeping his throwaway vote, so not a bad candidate for a varulv, can't be packmates with Lord Strange
Nautilu: Throwaway vote on Big Bad Wolf, however he voted early so not much to look into there, highly unlikely packmates with BBB
Lord Strange: Used his precious method to vote Mr. G, can't be packmates with Jester, probably not Snoopdogg*
Jonlucero: Flying under the radar, voted along with Syber at Trespoe, so could be a good target, would a wolf be so obvious to vote the same as a packmate straight after he did?
He's relatively inexperienced so possibly
Voted for a cleared (IMHO) player so thats another bad mark

*Snoopdogg voted Lord Strange, yes, but it can be considered a throwaway as the village probably won't follow him given his damaged credibility (read next issue for details:eek:), and as he hasn't provided any explanation maybe he is voting a packmate to provide cover

Btw I forgot that we didn't get pm's telling us the game had started so maybe thats why the inactives didn't vote

Seriously, why the inactivity, are the servers down everywhere except my house?

In case no-one bothered to read my long post, I'm thinking maybe the inactives are inactive because they didn't get a pm (i.e. they're villagers) and didn't bother to check the thread, meaning they aren't wolves, no reactions to this, should we change candidates?

vote snoopdogg.

If we can force a tie wiuth a wolf this early on, we could really hamper them.

tl;dr

okay, seriously...

Jester180 does what he always does. He votes early and doesn't come back that day or offer too much explanations. He always does this, whether wolf or villager. Go with the odds and say 25% chance wolf.

All the others kinda did the same. They voted and left. jonlucero voted me so I would suspect him, but it is first day so I don't take it personally.

You are correct, villagers didn't get a PM. However, Syber sid was lynched way too easily.

Wolves, since they receive a PM immediately when the game starts, tend to comment early. Euro makes an interesting choice as he did it within 10 minutes of the game starting.

Well I'm parked in the blue van outside and I can get on.

Oh wait, I shouldn't have said that :eek:o

It is possible, but with Christmas going on, I'd weight that as less likely than at any other time of the year - people are just as likely to not be online.

I think a close vote would be good, but it must not be allowed to get to a TIE. Looking at those who were not voting SS or who were absent would be a good place to start. Determined wolves could have got the bandwagon shifted to anywhere.

Reading the thread, I've been struck by the number of comments about inactivity.

The DM's view is that this is the holiday season, and a little bit of Real Life will inevitably intrude upon one's WereYak time.

Or maybe I was online at the time and saw that the GM had posted?

But you're probably right, Syber_sid was trying to increase his credibility yesterday by lynching me, when he could have gone for trespoe.

Oh wait...

Trespoe, you and I share one thing in common in this game, we were both instrumental in killing Syber_sid the wolf. You suggested him, and I followed, then refused to switch off him when he suggested we pick someone else. If I was a wolf, I'd have seized that opportunity to change my vote away from him, but I didn't.

So unless you want me to hunt you (ZOMG BADDIE TELL), you should really remember important things like this.

@ jonti: Determined wolves are also clever wolves sometimes. I'll hunt you tonight.

@ GM: Can I haz christmas votecount?

EDIT: Curse my typing too long! I knew making big posts was a mistake! :(
